She crocheted heirlooms including baby blankets for all newborns in her family and church family. Nanny Brackett loved everyone and was loved by everyone. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and love of the Lord. Myrtle retired from Wellco after 32 years of service. She spent her last years at Pigeon Valley, a place she loved and called home. The family would like to thank the staff for the love and care they gave her while she was there. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Lake Junaluska with Reverend Chris Willett, Reverend Ricky Mason and Reverend Nick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
