Myrtle Hare

Leicester, Myrtle Webb Hare, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County she is the daughter of the late Herman and Evelyn Hutchinson Webb. Myrtle was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hare, who died in 1998; three sons, David, Ronnie and Ganey Hare. She retired from Victoria Health Center and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Arden. Myrtle is survived by a daughter, Sharon Ball, of Asheville; a son, Kenneth Hall, of Leicester; two brothers, Larry and Jerry Webb, both of Leicester; five grandchildren, Lise and Travis Simpson, Karen Lensley, Crystal and Charity Hall; three great-grandchildren, Jamie and Michael Lamb and Chole Lensley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Arden. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
