In Loving Memory "My Granny passed from this life to the next without fanfare. This was the same way she lived her life. She was small in every sense of the word—meek, mild, soft spoken. Her contribution to conversation was often little more than a sideways grin accented by large mirthful eyes. But as with all human beings, she experienced pain and loss in her life. At times her countenance changed, her brow furrowed, and those soft eyes took on the haze of experience. It is often said that the eyes are the window to the soul. I can't say that I have always had a good understanding of that idea. It is becoming clearer now—one day at a time. Beautiful pure blessings come into our lives and go as quickly as they came. Shiny, sparkly, tempting pleasures can cast a haze over the eyes of the best and worst of us. The vision becomes so murky that one cannot see. The only thing left to do is cry out—"I can't see". When the light comes in we see again—sometimes perfectly. Regarding Granny, I see perfectly. She was small. She loved small people in a larger than life way. So glad my Granny could see, and I know that she will always see….
