Waynesville, Myrtle Louise Mann, age 83, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Medwest Haywood. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Eulysses and Annie Swanger Inman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Mann in 1985 and three sisters. Myrtle was a cafeteria cook with Haywood County Schools for 30 years and also was a cook at Lake Junaluska Assembly after her retirement. Myrtle was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. She always placed her family first and was a mother and grandmother you could always depend on. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sexton of Weaverville; two sons, David Mann and his wife Sandra of Clyde and Cecil Mann, Jr. of Waynesville; 5 grandchildren; Jeffrey Sherrill and his wife Cheri, Tracey Drake, Tammy Singleton and her husband Dennis, David Michael Mann and his wife Pam and Michael Mann and his wife Tracey, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. Reverend Jesse Hollingsworth will officiate. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
