Nancy Broome

June 8, 1944 — January 25, 2006

Waynesville-Nancy Jane Frady Broome, age 61, of 51 Mac's Lane, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Mountain Area Hospice. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Sue Clark Frady Keziah and the late Bill Frady. She enjoyed crafts and gardening and was a member of Barbersville Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Kenneth D. Broome; three daughters, Shannon Wooten (Oscar) of Charlotte, Julie Shuford (Tommy) of Leicester, Karen Graves of Asheville; a son, Billy Edmonds (Crystal) of Mars Hill; one brother, Mike Frady (Linda) of Asheville; eight grandchildren, Cody, Vanessa, Desiray, Eddie, and Hunter Edmonds, Kevin and Sydney Wooten, and Madison Graves. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Barberville Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Foster and Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie and Roger Bishop, Ray Banks, Eddie Maney, R.L. and A.J. Brown. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center, P.O. box 25338, Asheville, NC 28801.
