Maggie Valley, Nancy Case, 63, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Memorial Mission Hospital. Nancy was the daughter of the late Tracy and Minnie Carr. After working for several attorneys in the area, Nancy retired in January 2016 as an assistant clerk from the Haywood County Clerk of Court's Estate Division. Nancy was dedicated in her role as assistant clerk where she helped countless families with a warm smile and a caring demeanor. The light of her life was her family, whom she adored. Her beautiful life will leave a cherished, lasting impression on all who knew her. Nancy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jack Case; son, Jeremy Case and his wife, Shara, of Maggie Valley; a sister, Carolyn Carr, of Candler; and two brothers, Neil Carr of Kentucky and Lee Carr; her mother-in-law, Betty Bass, of Wilmington; a sister-in-law, Linda Case, of Leland, North Carolina; and two brothers-in-law, Bobby Case, of Raleigh and Billy Case, of Maggie Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Wells Events & Reception Center with a time of sharing beginning at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, 717 S. Marshall Street, Suite 105B, Winston-Salem, NC 27101
