Nancy Hyatt

Waynesville-Nancy Evelyn Hyatt, age 90, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Evelyn McIntosh Hyatt; four brothers, Arthur, Donald, David and Lachlan L. Hyatt. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville and was a member of the D.A.R. and U.D.C. Nancy had a wonderful sense of humor and was a gifted china painter. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Hyatt of Spartanburg, SC; nephews, Lachlan L. Hyatt, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Spartanburg, SC, William A. Hyatt II of Seneca, SC; niece, Mary Jane Hyatt of Nashville, TN; great-nieces, Nancy Marie Givens and her husband, Steve of Smyrna, DE and Lisa Hyatt of Spartanburg, SC; her special friends, Sarah Martin of Waynesville and Mary Groves of Nashville and her guardian angel, Ruth McConnell of Sylva. Funeral services will be held in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
