Nancy Mcelrath

Waynesville, Nancy Trogdon McElrath of Waynesville, NC and Lake Placid, FL died at sunset December 4, 2007 after a long battle with Leukemia. She was born August 18, 1937 in Greensboro, NC to Dewey L. and Ethel Miller Trogdon. She grew up in Summerfield, NC and attended Western Carolina University. She was a retired homemaker, professional clown and miniaturist. She is survived by her husband, the Reverend Jim McElrath of Waynesville, NC and Lake Placid, FL, her son, Phillip of Palm Coast, FL, her daughter, Ellen Marlow of Hickory, NC and her grandson Jason Marlow and wife, Amy of Schofield, WI, her brothers, Dewey of Banner Elk, NC and Joseph of Madison, NC. Mrs. McElrath was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Waynesville, NC and attended St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal in Lake Placid. A memorial service will be held next May at Grace Episcopal in Waynesville. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, one give to the charity of their choice.
