Nancy Meadows

February 28, 1935 — June 14, 2011

Waynesville, Nancy Rhodarmer Meadows, age 76, of Pinto Place, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Davis and Maudie Messer Rhodarmer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Meadows, who died in 2004; a daughter, Nancy Kay Meadows; four sisters, Annie Davis, Betty Conard, Rena Pruitt, Mary Browning; and a brother, Seby Rhodarmer. Nancy loved gardening and taking care of children and was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Shonda Garrett and her husband, Don of Andrews, Doris Fernando and her husband, Joe, and Kathy Lanning and her husband, Dale, all of Waynesville; one brother, Davis Rhodarmer and his wife, Pauline of Waynesville; five grandchildren, Angie, Tavis, Shawna, Heather, and Roseanna; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Isaac, Lucas, and Thomas. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Shady Grove/Allison Cemetery with Reverend Terry Green, Reverend Jerry Mathus, and Reverend Calvin Murphy. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times at the home. The family would like to thank Hospice for the care they provided. Memorials may be made to the family.
