Nancy Rose

"Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother" Canton – Nancy Thomason Rose, age 78, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Thelma Maude Ferguson Thomason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Larry" Rose, who died in 2000; a sister, Shelby Jean Thomason and two brothers, Charles Wayne and Ricky Dale Thomason. Nancy adored her family and always placed them first. She lived her life by faith and was a devoted Christian. She attended Rocky Branch Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Ledford and Deborah Mason both of Canton; a son William Dennis Rose of Canton; two sisters, Linda Sorrells of South Carolina and Mildred Crawford of Canton; seven grandchildren, Candice Ledford, Nancy "Tink" Rose, Kevin Dale Ledford, Shelly Lynn Warren, Joanie Garcia, Laura Vick and Tome Vick, II.; numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Heatherly officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
