Waynesville-Naomi Ruth Rich Davis, went home to heaven at 2:10 a.m. on Thursday, January 05, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was born in Maggie Valley on June 8, 1927 the daughter of the late Tom and Minnie Knight Rich. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William O. Davis, Jr., four sisters, two brothers, and one special granddaughter, Shannon Bradley. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She received her education in the Haywood County schools. She was a former employee of Clyde's Restaurant, Smith's Drug Store, and Shoneys. She was also a foster grandparent for 12 years. Her children remember how their mother worked hard and gave up many things in life for them. She will truly be rewarded in heaven, where she will be reunited with her loved ones. She leaves to mourn her passing five loving children, Ronnie Ramsey of Barnardsville, Sharon Bradley of Hamilton, OH, Greg Ramsey and his wife, Kathy, of Waynesville, Debra Sheehan of Kings Mountain, and Chris Ramsey of Barnardsville; and seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter, who loved their Granny Ruth very much. She is also survived by one sister, Mattie Ramsey, of Maggie Valley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
