Naomi Pressley

Naomi "Mammie" Brown Pressley, age 81, of Sunset Circle died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Oma Fish Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Edgar Pressley in 1997. Ms. Pressley had worked in the Finishing Room at Champion International and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by several sister - in - law's, most special and dear, Mozella Brown of whom she resided with in Canton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 18, 2005 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Matthew Pruett and the Reverend Virgil Holloway officiating. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Bon- A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton and at other times at the residence.
