Nathan Tracy

April 15, 1933 — January 3, 2015

Clyde, Nathan Bartlett Tracy, age 81, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015. A native of Bradenton, Florida, he was the son of the late Harry and Lois Bartlett Tracy and was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Walker. He was a US Air Force veteran and was employed by General Adjustment Bureau as an adjuster for more than 35 years, retiring in 1996. He attended High Mowing School in New Hampshire and also attended Virginia Tech. Nate was a member of the Christian Writers Fellowship and was a published writer. He was a member of Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. Nate is survived by his wife of 43 years, Martha Tracy; three daughters, Lark King and husband, Eric and Lois Moffett, all of Englewood, Florida and Amanda Sumner and husband, Steve, of Asheville; three sons, Nathan Tracy II and wife Amber and Toddington Tracy and wife, Mary, also of Englewood and Anthony Tracy of Haywood County. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Tim McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Long's Chapel United Methodist Church Missions, P.O. Box 459, Lake Junaluska, NC 28745.
