Nell Burch

Nell Collins Burch, Age 77, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 at her residence.<br><br>She was a native and a lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Hall and Ollie Massie Collins. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Hyde and Kathryn Cooper and a brother, Joe Collins.<br><br>She was employed with the Haywood County Schools for 27 years as a teacher, and she was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church. <br><br>In addition to her husband of 56 years, William Boyd Burch, she is survived by two daughters, Colleen B. Thomas and her husband, Lee of Hendersonville and Melanie Burch of Gastonia; two sons, Val Dean Burch and his wife, Kim of Hendersonville and Delane Burch and his wife, Elaine of Rock Hill, SC; and one sister Linda Collins of Clyde, five grandchildren, one grand daughter-in-law and one great-grandchild.<br><br>Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend James Parham officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. <br><br>Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, Home Health Bldg., 560 Leroy George Dr. Clyde, NC 28721, or to the charity of one's choice.<br><br>
