Nellie Wishard

Waynesville, NC-Nellie K. Wishard - age 74 of 370 Acres View Drive died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Autumn Care. She was a native of Ft. Loudon, PA and had been a resident of North Carolina since 1977 moving from Hagerstown, MD. She was a daughter of the late George and Goldie Mellott Keefer and the wife of the late Robert M. Wishard, Sr. who died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by five brothers; George, Henry, Harry, Hayes and Frank Keefer; three sisters; Lydia Hastings, Marie Stoner and Mary Jane Keebaugh. Mrs. Wishard owned and operated Wishard Ceramics in North Carolina along with her husband and in Hagerstown, MD they operated a motel and a ceramics shop. She also loved to read and crochet. She is survived by three daughters; Patricia Wishard Stockslager of Hagerstown, MD, Vicki Sequoyah of Waynesville and Mary Stiles of Whittier; one son, Robert M. Wishard, Jr. of Ft. Loudon, PA; two sisters, Edna Funk of Greencastle, PA and Ester Shipley of Waynesboro, PA; two grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Stiles. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 18, 2005 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Ricky Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence. Pallbearers will be Michael Farmer, Jr., Doug Farmer, David Farmer, Gene Keefer, Henry Keefer, Jr., Adam Monteith, Levi Monteith and James Monteith.
