Neta Johnson

Newport, TN - Neta Mae Johnson, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Caris Healthcare in Newport Tennessee. A native of Haywood County, she had resided in Newport, Tennessee for the past 30 years. She was the daughter of Charlie Lee and Allie Harris Rathbone. Neta was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her husband, Monroe Johnson; four sons, Glen Worley of Waynesville, David Worley and his wife, Tammy, of Canton, Dennis Ray Worley and his wife, Sandra, of Newport, Tennessee, and Lawrence Rathbone of Clyde; a sister, Geneva Aiken and one brother, Willie Rathbone, both of Lincolnton, NC; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
