Nina Patton

Nina Aline Davis Patton, age 80, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her residence in Arrowhead Cove. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Hobert Luther and Elsie Idella Crawford Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Burder Patton, who died in 1989; one daughter, Sarah Ann Attkison; two sisters, Maebell Culberson and Ruby Huffman; and two brothers, Everett and Vinson Davis. Nina was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canton and she loved quilting and gardening. She also enjoyed ruby hunting with her friends and family. She is survived by one daughter, Chloe Pence and her husband, Dick, of Greensboro; one grandchild, Robbie Attkison; two step-grandchildren, Scott Pence and Sonya Arrington; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
