Noah Price

Clyde, Noah Dill Price, born on August 16, 1928, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Taylor and Harriet Henline Price. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and eight sisters. Dill was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Putnam Price; a daughter, Betty Jo Askew and her husband, Ronnie, of Newport, Tennessee; three sons, Tommy, Bobby and Jerry Price all of Newport, Tennessee; three stepdaughters, Martha Swanger (Mike) of Waynesville; Wanda Parton (Ricky) of Canton and Glenda Stewart (Steven) of West Virginia; a stepson, Ted Putnam of Clyde; a special grandson, Chris Askew; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne Price; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Ronnie Askew officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
