Noda Downs

Clyde-Noda Price Downs, age 83, formerly of 1085 Old Clyde Road, died on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Mountain Trace Nursing Home. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late John Evan and Mary Emma Sawyer Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lawrence Downs, who died in 2003 and two brothers, Paul and Robert Price. She was employed by Wellco as a seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Larry Downs and wife, Gail, of Clyde; two daughters, Janet Robinson and husband, Ronny, of Jacksonville, FL and Judy Henline and husband, Gary, of Reidsville, NC; a sister, Lula Price Roberts, of Fredericksburg, TX; two special sisters-in-law, Pauline Downs Tipton and Girline Cope Price, both of Candler; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Woodland Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home, and at other times, the family will be at the home.
