Nora Bailey

Nora Belle Pressley Bailey, age 90, of Haywood Drive died Thursday, April 2, 2008, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dolly Setzer Pressley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady L. Bailey, who died in 1989; four sisters, Bertie Jo Conard, Mary Faye Johnson, Sara Evelyn Truitt, and Billie Joyce Wells; and three brothers, Walter Worth, Robert Frank, and Eugene Pressley. She retired in 1982 from Sperry-Hutchinson Corporation as a computer operator and merchandise manager. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church. Nora loved traveling in the United States and throughout the world and was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She is survived by a brother, Thomas David Pressley and his wife, Mary, of Waynesville and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Jack B. Sammons officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
