Ola Vickers

Canton - Ola Bea Vickers, age 89, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. She was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Millard and Effie Gaddy Chapman. Ola was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin Shapiro, and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three sons, Howard Chapman and his wife, Lorraine, of Stockton, CA, Charles Shapiro and his wife, Velry, of Vineland, NJ and Harry Shapiro and wife, Gregg, of Monroe, NY; four sisters, Bertie Sanderlin of Canton, Flossie Greer of Rutherfordton, Katie Gibson of Clyde, and Betty Edwards of Canton; two brothers, McKay Henson of Clyde and Jack Chapman of Canton; one niece, Claudia Sanderlin of Canton; two nephews, Floyd Sanderlin of Canton and Ralph Broome and ;his wife, Glenda, of Charlotte and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Sunset Community Cemetery in Canton with Reverend W.O. "Bill" Henson officiating
