Ora Rathbone

Ora Mae Kuykendall Rathbone, age 64, of 404 Critter Creek Road died Monday, October 31, 2005 at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Charles and Eva Haney Kuykendall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Rathbone who died in 1998 and several brothers and sisters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved all children and animals and provided a good home to many. She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Rathbone Early of Canton; six sons, James "Bimbo", Ricky, Ronnie, Randy and Kevin Rathbone all of Canton and Tommy Rathbone of Gaffney, SC; a brother, Johnny Kuykendall of Candler; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. At other times, the family will be at the home.
