Ora Sutton

Waynesville-Ora Lee Swanger Sutton, age 87, formerly of Wesley Creek in the Fines Creek Community died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Britthaven of Franklin. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Beadie Kirkpatrick Swanger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy William Sutton, who died in 1992; a son, Ned Sutton; and four brothers, Carson, Mark, S. T., and Luke Swanger. She was a member of Shelton Laurel Salvation Army Church. She is survived by a sister, Eva Clark, of Fines Creek; two brothers, Coleman Swanger of Waynesville and Varnel Swanger of Fines Creek; three grandchildren, Linda Justice and her husband, James, Connie Bradley and her husband, Eric, and Stevie Sutton; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2005 at Shelton Laurel Salvation Army Chapel with Major Sherman Cundiff and Captain Tim Bartram officiating. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. At other times, the family will be at the home of Connie Bradley, 83 Trailwood Lane, Clyde. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin and Brian Justice, Stevie and Gene Sutton, and Arvin, Keith, Mike, and Edwin Swanger.
