Osie Breece

Canton - Osie Edna Brown Robinson Breece, age 88, died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. She was the daughter of the late Lula Magnolia Moore and James Horace Brown. She was preceded in death by her first husband, M. Harley Robinson, who died in 1961; and one grandchild. Osie was employed with Square D for nine years and attended the Wesleyan Church of Canton. Surviving are one son, Donald Brown, and his wife, Norma, of Canton; two daughters, Patricia Ann Ruff, and her husband, James, of Waynesville, and Virginia Mae Robinson, and Terry Prestwood of Asheville; four sisters, Dorothy Clark of Denton, NC, Artie Johnson and Stella Novotnic, both of Alabama, Belvie King of Leicester; one brother, Elverett Brown of Canton; nine grandchildren including Jon and Patrick Brown of Canton, Melissa Ruff of Waynesville and Zachary Prestwood of Asheville; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-children. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Care Partners Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
