Ottie Israel

Canton-Ottie Marie Crisp Israel-87, formerly of the Dutch Cove Community, died Thursday, November 7, 2002 at Canton Health Care Center.

She was a native of Graham County but had lived in Haywood County since 1937. She was the daughter of the late M. T. and Dora Rogers Crisp and the wife of the late Robert Israel who died in 1990. Mrs. Israel was a homemaker and a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one niece, Cleta Stroupe of Clyde, two nephews, Thomas Fields of Lancaster, SC and Harold Crisp of Sylva.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2002 at Morning Star United Methodist Church with Reverend Doug Love officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
