Pamela Gerden

Maggie Valley, Pamela S. Gerden, age 66, has changed her address and moved in with her Lord on November 28, 2011. She was known as the "Little Lady" that walked and jogged Maggie Valley for the last fifteen or so years. We all know today she is running in Heaven. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Gerden. Pam attended Middleburg College in Vermont and graduated from Loyola University in Chicago. She loved beauty in general, music, plants, animals, and the mountains. She created stunning landscapes and gardens in Colorado Springs and Maggie Valley. Pam had a great love of animals beginning with her first dog, Gretchen, to her last cat, Kairi. She is survived by two sisters, Paula J. Gerden of New York City, New York, and Marilyn Gerden Field of Coronado, California, and a niece, Frances Gerden McNeive of New York City, New York. A celebration of Pam's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, she asked that contributions be made to SARGES Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O. Box 854, Waynesville, NC 28786.
