Pasquale "Pat" Amato

Waynesville, Pasquale "Pat" Amato, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

Pasquale was formally a resident of Lakeland and Winter Haven, Florida.  For the past 26 years he resided in Maggie Valley.

He was a consultant pharmacist for over 50 years in Florida and at Waynesville Pharmacy.  He was a registered pharmacist in the states of Maine, New York, Florida, and North Carolina.  He also served in the military and was a retired Army Captain.  Pat served as Chief of Pharmacy Service at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Jean Amato, of 28 years and his yorkie-poo, Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

The care of Mr. Amato has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
