Patricia "Pat" Cook

Candler, Pat Cook, 81, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Memorial Mission Hospital. Born on September 20, 1942, in Chattanooga, TN. Pat had a profound impact on those around her throughout her life. She will be remembered for her sweet and loving nature.

Pat was a Lioness that would do anything to protect her family.  She loved hosting family gatherings for every holiday.  Pat’s love for her grandkids was unbreakable, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. 

Besides enjoying gardening fresh vegetables, Pat had the most impressive flower garden you could imagine.  Blossoms blooming for all to enjoy.  In addition, she enjoyed listening to George Jones and Tammy Wynette. 

Pat is predeceased by her husband, Marvin Cook, Sr., who passed in 2016, and a sister Carolyn Sebastian.

Pat leaves behind a daughter, Connie Governale; a son Jimmy Gunter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating.  Entombment will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
