Patricia Ruff

Waynesville, Patricia Ann Ruff, age 59, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her home. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Harley Robinson and Osie Edna Brown Robinson and was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffery Dewayne Ruff, and one brother, Donald Brown. Patricia was of the Baptist faith and was most kind, considerate, and loving to all her family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James "Jimmy" Ruff, one daughter, Melissa Ruff, of Waynesville, and a sister, Virginia Robinson, of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Scotty Rollins and Reverend Gerald Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Community Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael and Dwight Townsend, Robert Stanaland, James Ramsey, Tommy Mathis, and Robert Nace. Honorary pallbearers will be David Townsend and Scotty Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
