Patricia Tucker

Waynesville-Patricia "Pat" Burchfield Tucker, age 60, died on Friday, July 13, 2007 at Smoky Mountain Healthcare. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County and the daughter of Iva Lee Hoyle Burchfield of Waynesville and the late Russell Burchfield. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Tucker, who died in 2003. Pat worked in the Spreader Department at Dayco and was the Union Secretary before retiring in 1998 after 31 years service. Pat loved the outdoors and camping with her family. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and printing the church bulletins. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Misty Tucker Morris and her husband, Corey, of Waynesville; one sister, Brenda Browning of Nebo, NC; one brother, Larry D. Burchfield, of Waynesville; and one grandson, Jaxson Morris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Green Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Siegfried and Reverend Johnny Swanger officiating. Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville, and at other times, at the home of Iva Lee Burchfield, 136 Lum Boone Circle. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie and Gary Downs, Junior and Mark Jones, Bill and Jackie Laney, Henry Wyatt and Chris Chandler.
