Patricia Lee Campbell Devlin, age 82, died on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at her residence in Lake Junaluska. She was a native of Warren County, MS, and had lived in Haywood County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude Burnette Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "J. C." Devlin, who died in 1993; and a sister, Carolyn Campbell Medford, who died in December, 2009. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Canton Garden Club. Patsy appeared in the following movies, "Being There", "Bull Durham", "Hot Heir", "My Fellow Americans", and "Dirty Dancing". She also met many soap opera stars. One of her last wishes was to see our current president, which she accomplished on Friday. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Devlin Patten and her husband, Robert, of Waynesville and Laura Devlin of Canton; and a niece, Allison Smith and her husband, Todd, and their children, Colin and Taylor of Centerville, OH. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with the Reverend Tim McRee officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
