Patsy Pruett

Patsy K. Pruett Canton- Patsy Kinsland Pruett, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Mission Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John Hascue and Patti Lois Evans Kinsland. She was employed at Haywood County Hospital as an LPN for 22 years. In addition to being a wonderful mother and homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, traveling with family, and most of all she was an avid book reader. She loved playing the piano when she was young for Long's Methodist Church. She was a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. Patsy is survived by a loving husband of 65 years, Robert Claude Pruett; two daughters, Susan Newnam and her husband, Barry, of Clayton, NC and Margaret Warren and her husband, Larry, of Rock Hill, SC; two brothers, John and Carroll Kinsland; five grandchildren, Lee Newnam ( Misty) , Bobby Newnam (Rachel) , Claudia Jean Locklear (Charles) , Rachael Phifer (Andrew) , and Maggie Warren ;and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Matthew Pruett and Reverend Jason Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday.
