Patsy Swanger

Patsy Cable Swanger, age 82, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Mission Hospitals – Memorial Campus. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late George Patterson and Elva Crisp Cable. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Robert Swanger, who died in 1989; six brothers, Evan, Charles, Neil, Tommy, Bobby, and Ben Cable. She was a member of Bolyston Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Clara Metcalf of Canton; three brothers, Wiley Cable of Canton and Roy and Fred Cable of Bryson City; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James Burress officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Boylston Baptist Church, 9949 Boylston Hwy, Mills River, NC 28759.
