Paul Bert Clark, Jr., formerly of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, April 30th at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans after a long period of heart ailments. He was 74.
He was the son of the late Paul Bert Clark, Sr., and the late Aurelia Devlin Clark of Canton.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty-five years, the former Virginia Parker. He was a loving father to his two sons, Burke Clark and his wife, Linda, of Chesterfield, Virginia; and Keith Clark of Hammond, Louisiana; and a daughter, Amy Friar of Prattville, Alabama. He is also survived by his five adored grandchildren, Amanda and Paul Clark of Chesterfield, Virginia; Allison Friar of Prattville, Alabama; Benjamin and Nicholas Clark of Walker, Louisiana; a brother, Joe Clark of Arapahoe; and a sister, Ruth Ellen Cooper of Canton; an uncle, Wayne Clark of Canton ; an aunt, Ruby Sue Thompson of Tennessee; two nieces, Brenda Cooper Hardin and Linda Cooper Hyatt of Canton; two nephews, Dr. Brian Clark of Durham and Tyler Clark of China Grove.
Mr. Clark was retired from Pet Milk Dairies where he served in numerous capacities during his thirty-two year tenure. He was also retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairies after ten years of service.
Family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton on Sunday, May 4th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes on Monday, May 5th at 10:00 a.m. with burial at the Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road.
Mr. Clark resided at 805 Rue Chalet in Hammond, Louisiana for the past twenty years, but often returned to his hometown to see his many treasured friends.
