Paul Holland

Paul Holland, age 90, died Thursday, August 9, 2007, following a brief illness. He was a native of Wyoming but moved to North Carolina at an early age. He was the son of the late Talmadge Holland and Olive "Ollie" Nicholson Holland Lowe. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Ann Price Holland, who died in 2002; two sisters, Ola Marie McIntyre and Ruth Scott; two brothers, Wiley Lowe and Walter Lowe, Jr. He retired from Champion International as a Quality Control Inspector with more than 40 years of service and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Paul was a wonderful woodworker and loved his family dearly. He was a United States Army veteran serving in Italy and North Africa during World War II. He is survived by two daughters, Paula Rhodarmer of Canton and Lawanna Johnson of Youngsville; a son, Skip Holland and his wife, Jan, of Canton; two brothers, Roy Samuel Holland and his wife, Edna, of Canton and Dr. Wilbur "Shorty" Lowe and his wife, Deanie, of Daytona Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Brook Holland, Derek Rhodarmer, Holly Godfrey, and Marna Holland; and four great-grandchildren, Helena Godfrey, William Rhodarmer, and Grayson and Jackson Holland. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2007, at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Josh Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Haywood Christian Academy, P. O.
