Paul Pankiw

Paul Pankiw, age 91, of Keller Street died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Paul and Mary Michealachsyn Pankiw and was a native of Ternopol, Ukrane having lived in Haywood County since 1948. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Pankiw and two sons, Donnie and Paul O. Pankiw. He was employed with Wellco for 20 years working in the shipping department. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Iwanna Korolsyn Pankiw, he is survived by two sons, Mark Pankiw of Chattanooga, TN and George Pankiw and his wife, Beverly of Macon, GA and three grandchildren, Christopher, Jason and Rachel Pankiw all of Macon, GA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Dennis McGowan officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday and family the will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. following the rosary service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
