Paul Martin Taylor, age 78, of Old US Hwy 19-23, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at John F. Keever Solace Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the son of the late Martin and Verna Frady Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Allen Taylor, who died in 1992. Paul retired from Champion International in 1988. He was an avid sportsman, owner and proprietor of Horn Hill Hunting Resort in Danburg, GA and an honorary member of the Wildlife Action Club. And above all Paul was a loving father, grandfather and husband. He is survived by his two daughters, Pat White and her husband, Carroll, of Candler and Paulette Buchanan and her husband, Bill, of Clyde; a son, David Taylor and his wife, Judy, of Candler; a brother, Charles Taylor, of Candler, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and his faithful Jack Russell terrier, "Jumpy". Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Cayton and Reverend Todd Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at 419 Old US Hwy 19-23, Candler, NC, 28715. Pallbearers will be Edwin Goodson, Ronnie Fulcher, Danny Morgan, Hoye Taylor, John Allen Kilpatrick, Ronnie Stamey, Doyce Burnette and Bradley Bolton. Memorials may be made to John F.
