Clyde-Pauline Snyder Bolden, age 83, of 707 Thompson Cove Road, Clyde, died at home on Saturday, February 15, 2003.
A native of Haywood County, she was a homemaker and a school and Folkmoot USA volunteer. She was an active member of Oak Leaf Chapter, #188, Order of Eastern Star. She faithfully attended Clyde Central United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Jerry and Anne Thompson Snyder. Her husband of 48 years, Hughes R. Bolden, preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sue Snyder Jones and a brother, Lawrence Snyder.
She is survived by a son, Gene Bolden and his wife, Jackie, and by two grandsons, Eric Bolden and Dana Bolden and his wife Sharon, and one great grandson, Mathew Bolden, all of Clyde. She is also survived by a brother, Marvin Snyder of Orange, CA; three sisters, Betty Haynes, of Aiken, SC and Irene Sharp and Sybil Ferguson, both of Clyde.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home and will be conducted by the Reverend Christopher Westmoreland and Reverend James Hart. Burial will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2003 at the funeral home. The Order of Eastern Star will conduct rites at the conclusion of the visitation.
The pallbearers will be Gary and Mike Bolden, Andrew and Michael Ferguson, Jerry Gregg, Blake and Danny Jones and Ned Rector.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Folkmoot USA, P.O. Box 658, Waynesville, NC 28786 or to Clyde Central United Methodist Church Children's Playground Fund, P.O. Box 8, Clyde, NC 28721.
