Pauline Hendricks

Waynesville, Pauline Curtis Hendricks, 74, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Louie and Eullar Holt Curtis. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Claude Curtis and Kent Lee Curtis; and one sister, Sue Rider.

Pauline was a devoted wife and mother who deeply loved her family.  She impacted the lives of so many with her ability to see the good in everybody.  Pauline had a passion for automobiles, especially her Mustang and Thunderbird, and an appreciation for all of God’s four-legged creatures.  She was employed by Dayco Corporation for 29 years and was an active lifelong member of Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Carrol Hendricks; one daughter, Diane Robinson of Waynesville; one grandchild, Kaylee Clark; one great-grandchild, Marley Clark; one brother, Eddie Curtis and his wife, Linda, of Waynesville; and her K-9 friend, Molly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home, with Reverend Beauford Rice officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12:30 until 2:00, at the funeral home.

Due to Covid-19, all protocols and mandates are requested to be followed, including mask.  The service will be live streamed and will be accessible through Mrs. Hendricks’s obituary on Wells Funeral Home website to facilitate the ongoing focus on community safety and health.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 1054 Camp Branch Rd., Waynesville, NC 28786.
