Pauline Rogers Haney, 92, passed on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Pauline, a native of Haywood County, was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ullah Green Rogers. She was married for 65 years to Marshall Haney who passed away in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Lois Kuykendall, Mary Virginia Green, Daisy Northrup and Edith Davis, and brother Bennett Rogers.
Pauline worked for more than 40 years at Wellco. She was a member of Crabtree Baptist Church where she served alongside her husband for many years on the kitchen committee. She was an active member of Woodman of the World and volunteered many hours with the local lodge hosting parties and delivering gifts to the Broyhill Children’s Home.
Pauline is survived by her son Marty Haney and his wife Lee Anna of Hendersonville; grandson Lance Haney of Hendersonville; granddaughter Breanna Haney of Charlotte; and sisters Evelyn Plemmons, and Beverly Arrington.
Pauline was known for her delicious meals, immaculate flower gardens, and beautiful hand-knitted blankets. She loved making a vegetable garden with Marshall, taking brisk walks in the neighborhood with her friends, and day trips to Hendersonville to spoil the grandkids.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Community College Foundation, 185 Freedlander Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
The care of Mrs. Haney has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
