Pearl Mann

January 16, 1915 — March 4, 2005

Candler- Pearl Pressley Mann- age 90 of 14 Center St., died Friday, March 4, 2005 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Haywood County and had lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Harley and Carrie Motes Pressley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, the Reverend Howard H. Mann who died in 1996, by a daughter, Shirley Maxine Whiteside and a brother, Mark Pressley. Mrs. Mann was also a member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter; Kathy M. Long of Candler; three sons, Jerry Mann and his wife Geraldine of Jacksonville, Fl., Rex Mann and his wife Anita of Mt. Sterling, KY and Danny Mann and his wife Jackie of Candler; one sister Ruby Bonham of Canton; two brothers, Paul Pressley of Canton and John Pressley of East Chicago, IN; 10 grandchildren, "numerous great-grandchildren" and one great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Jack W. Collins and Reverend Jim Sneed officiating. Burial will follow in Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
