Pearl Wyatt

June 24, 1908 — July 11, 2010

Waynesville, Pearl Sprinkle Wyatt, age 102, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home in Franklin. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Lee B. and Mary Curtis Sprinkle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Manuel Clifford Wyatt, who died in 1997; a daughter, Mary Ruth McCracken, who died in 1998; and one sister, Bessie Grasty, who died in 2004. Pearl was a member of Grandview Baptist Church, and she lived to serve. She is survived by three sons, Clifford Wyatt and wife, Janice, of Morganton, Ray Wyatt and his wife, Ernestine, of Waynesville, and David Wyatt and his wife, Peggy, of Charlotte; three daughters, Josephine Dunford and her husband, Harold, of Peterstown, West Virginia, Betty Young and her husband, Jerry, and Louise Henry and her husband, John, all of Franklin; one sister, Mamie Lou Powell, of Taccoa, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
