Peggy Anderson

Peggy Mason Anderson, age 62, died on Monday, October 18, 2010, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Robert and Shirley Pauline Hensley Mason. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Greg Anderson, who died in 2005 and a brother, Max Mason, who died in 2004. She was Miss Haywood County in 1967 and went on to be in the Miss North Carolina pageant. She is survived by a sister, Patsy Rogers and her husband, Jimmy, of Clyde; two brothers, Hoyt Mason and his wife, Onida, of Cruso and Troy Mason and his wife, Donna, of Garden City, SC; four nieces; six nephews; and several grand nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Alan Davis and Reverend Claude Conard officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
