Peggy Conard

Peggy Ann Conard, age 70, of Forest Hill Drive, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Nova Stamey Hendrix. Mrs. Conard worked with Asheville Citizen-Times advertising department and was a teller-bookkeeper with Haywood County Bank and Northwestern Bank. She was a Housewife, Mother and Grandmother. She was also a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was involved with the WMU and sang in the choir. She loved to cook and travel. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Forrest E. Conard; two daughters, Suzanna Allen and her husband, Ronnie and Jodie Kirchhoff and her husband, Anthony all of Canton; one son, Michael Green and his wife, Dale of Canton; Two step-daughters, Susan McKinnish and her husband, Doug and Allison Boyd and her husband, Michael all of Canton; one step-son, Ricky Conard and his wife, Janet of Greenville, SC; one sister, Freddie Rhea and her husband, Jim of Canton; an aunt, Berta Carpenter, also of Canton; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Virgil Holloway and Reverend Matt Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Canton will be in charge of arrangements.
