Peggy Daniels

Canton, NC — Peggy Elizabeth Daniels, died on August 7th, 2020 at the Silver Bluff Long Term Care Facility.

Born in 1938, in Washington D.C. Peggy was a secretary, a switchboard operator and a nanny during her working years. She was most proud of her volunteer work with Hospice and the VFW.

Peggy loved good food, socializing, and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Christmas was always her favorite holiday and she most enjoyed any activity where she was near the water. In her later years, she enjoyed sitting on the porch at Lake Junaluska and watching the geese.

She is survived by five of her six daughters, Donna, Della, Alice, Peggy and Lisa as well as her brother Gene Wright of Broadway, North Carolina. She also has 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Daniels and eldest daughter Phyllis Jean and sister Nancy.

Memorial gifts may be made to your local Hospice facility in her name.
