Waynesville-Peggy Trull Erwin, age 56, of 240 Love Lane, died Monday, April 28, 2003 at Mission St. Joseph's Health System.
A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of Beryl Queen Trull and the late Rupert Trull. She was a member of the North Carolina Teachers Assistant Association and was employed by Haywood County School System as a teacher's assistant at Jonathan Valley Elementary. She had also worked at Marble Elementary School in Marble, NC. She had been a loving caregiver to her mother, and was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church. She attended Riverside Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mike Erwin; four sisters, Maxine Truett of Andrews, NC, Modean McKeehan and Janet Holloway of Marble, NC and Lorene Battle of Knoxville, TN; and a brother, Loyal Trull of Asheville, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2003 at Marble Springs Baptist Church in Marble, NC with Pastor Phil Russell, Dr. Chester Jones, and Dr. Mike Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Moss Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2003 at Wells Funeral Homes of Waynesville and from 12:30 - 2:00 on Thursday prior to services at the church. Pallbearers will be Terry, Tony, and Tracy Truett, Casey Holloway, Jeff Palmer, and Mike and Mickey Griggs.
