Peggy Setzer

Peggy Mills Setzer, age 75, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. A lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late J.G. "Buster" and Edith Mae Corn Mills. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Setzer, who died in 2001; and a granddaughter, Leah Setzer, who died in 2004. Peggy was a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church where she was involved with the WMU, Disaster Relief, and Carpenter's Hands Ministry with Mud Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Denese Kastle and her husband, Ssg. John F. Kastle, retired US Army of Canton; two sons, Charles Barry Setzer and his wife, Rebecca, of Canton and Eric Wayne Setzer and his wife, Missy, of Asheville; a brother, Charles Robert Mills of Atlanta, Georgia; and three grandchildren, Nathan and Kayla Setzer, and Ryan Kastle. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Dutch Cove Baptist Church with the Reverend Jason Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
