Peggy Warner

January 31, 1943 — October 17, 2003

Peggy Jones Warner, age 60, of 70 Oakmont Drive died Friday, October 17, 2003 at her residence.

She was a native of Transylvania County and a lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of Marvin D. and Pearl Banks Jones of Clyde.

She was employed with the Lake Junaluska Assembly with 13 years of service and was dining room supervisor for the Terrace Hotel. She brought smiles and laughter to all who knew her. She was a member of Plains United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Don Warner of Canton; a daughter, Michelle Sawyer of Canton; a son, Chad Warner of Waynesville and two grandsons, Houston Sawyer and Collin Warner.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 20th at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Kelley Jones, Reverend Neil Haynes and Reverend Bob Pitzer officiating. Burial will follow at Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
