Peggy McDaniel Williams "My Lady, My Life, My Wife" Waynesville, Peggy McDaniel Williams, age 64, of Cypress Villa Lane, passed away, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was as native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Calvin Warren McDaniel and Virginia Matney McDaniel of Canton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Calvin McDaniel. Peggy was the sweetest woman you'd ever meet. She was a caretaker, a lover of arts and crafts and an amazing wife and mother. Peggy enjoyed crocheting afghans and Disney caricatures. She also loved sightseeing with her best friend and husband Ted. She was also a lover of animals, especially her cats, Cooper and Tucker. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 45 years, Cecil Willard "Ted" Williams, Jr., one daughter, Kimberly Paige Ayres, one grandson, Myles Warren Ayres and two aunts, Betty Ann Wyatt of Waynesville and Dora Penland and her husband Adrian of Candler. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
