Penny Curtis

Waynesville-Penny Reed Curtis, age 49, died November 16, 2004 at the Brian Center in Waynesville. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Margie Brown Reed of Waynesville and the late James W. Reed, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James W. Reed, III. She was a former employee of the Waynesville Country Club and Interstate Johnson Lane Brokerage Firm. She was a member of James Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Clark, and her husband, Shannon, of Clyde; two sisters, Margaret Reed of Waynesville and Mary Ella Covington and her husband, Bill, of Inverness, Florida; and a nephew, Robby Moody and his wife, Lindsay, of Black Mountain. A private memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with her cousin, Reverend Terry Brown officiating. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
